Smart patch could improve patients’ sleep

WEB DTU Plaster 19A Danish start-up has developed a new smart sensor for monitoring patients, which is undergoing trials with patients at the Psychiatric Research Unit at the Mental Health Centre North Zealand, Denmark.

The intelligent patch is applied to the patients’ upper body or arm before going to bed. Inside the patch is a wireless sensor that measures heart rate and activity during the night.
