BMW to use recycled fishing nets in its Neue Klasse cars from 2025
The BMW Group is using recycled marine waste to produce interior and exterior trim pieces.
The German automaker is sourcing fishing nets and ropes from ports to prevent them being disposed of in the sea, while an exclusive recycling method allows these to be processed into a plastic recyclate that is used in an injection moulding process to produce visible trim parts.
