Spun-fibre heart valve controls blood flow

frjs1Researchers at the Wyss Institute and the Harvard John A Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences have created an implantable heart valve that grows with a child suffering from rheumatic heart disease or other valve diseases, minimising surgical complications and suffering.
