Smart bandages could revolutionise the treatment of chronic wounds

MadLabFeaturedA team of US researchers from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and the California Institute of Technology is developing technologies to revolutionise wound care, including smart bandages that automatically sense and respond to changing conditions inside a wound.

These high-tech dressings provide continuous data on healing and potential complications, including infections or abnormal inflammation, and could deliver medications or other treatments in real time.
