Russian producer acquires knitting and clothing factory

kiraRussian textile producer Aiu-Tekstil aims to become a leading player in the domestic market by acquiring local rivals.

The company recently bought at auction the property of Ozersky Manufactory, which owned a factory with a total area of 3,400 m2 and production equipment in Ozery near Moscow with an annual capacity of 140,000 units of knitwear and 250,000 textile products.

The factory was used to produce clothing under the Kira Plastinina name, one of Russia’s most popular apparel brands in the 2000s.
