Russia may formally ban Turkish textile products

Vadim Solovyov, deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction and a member of the Communist Party, has written to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov to take action against the unofficial ban on the import of Turkish fabric and textile products into Russia.

Viktor Evtukhov, deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, recently announced that such a ban could be formally established for Turkish textile products after a Turkish Air Force plane shot down a Russian fighter jet in November.
