South Korean textile producers may invest in Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyz government is considering signing an agreement with the Korean Federation of Textile Enterprises for the establishment of a cluster for the production of yarn and fabric in Kyrgyzstan. Details of the project have not been disclosed.

According to Farhad Tologonov, director of the Association of Light Industry Enterprises of Kyrgyzstan, the establishment of a new factory will help to solve the problem of import dependency on China, which supplies the majority of fabrics to the country.
