Japanese clothing retailer to check Indonesian factory for abuse risk

9fa269789870c789aca53be36b6823c1Japanese business clothing retailer Aoyama Trading was due to perform a due diligence check in December at an Indonesian factory to mitigate the risk of human rights abuses.

The screening was being conducted at a garment factory in Central Java province. The plant has 1,300 workers, making it one of the largest suppliers in Aoyama’s network.
