Polymer fibres deliver active ingredients over the long term
Researchers at Empa, the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology, are developing polymer fibres that can deliver active ingredients precisely over the long term. These “liquid core fibres” contain drugs inside and can be processed into medical textiles.
