NatureWorks secures record financing for PLA plant in Thailand

2024 05 14 NatureWorks Krungthai Bank jpgNatureWorks, a manufacturer of polylactic acid (PLA) biopolymers made from renewable resources, has announced a US$350m finance package from Thailand’s Krungthai Bank, which will be used to support the construction of the company’s new PLA manufacturing facility and its ongoing operations.

The new plant, located on the Nakhon Sawan Biocomplex in Nakhon Sawan Province, Thailand, is designed to be a fully integrated PLA complex, including production sites for lactic acid, lactide and polymer.
