Next-generation smart gloves for gamers

NUS GloveWhile the concept of controlling a game using the hands via gloves is not new, the main problems have always been weight and flexibility.

The current generation of smart glove-type controllers available on the market are usually bulky with rigid conventional sensors.

Researchers at the National University of Singapore led by Lim Chwee Teck have developed the InfinityGlove, which overcomes weight and flexibility problems by weaving ultra-thin, highly sensitive microfibre sensors into the material of the glove.
