Brain mapping for babies made simple

Baby capA new form of wearable, baby-friendly, brain-mapping technology has implications for understanding developmental conditions, such as autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy.

The technology, developed at University College London (UCL), uses harmless levels of red and near-infrared light delivered via a wearable cap to generate detailed three-dimensional images of a baby’s brain activity.
