Amazon stresses privacy of new health monitor

Amazon’s new Halo Band builds on older fitness-tracking devices with features that have never been seen before in a mainstream wearable device.

These include one that provides a three-dimensional rendering of the user’s body with an estimated body fat percentage and another that, controversially, tracks emotional states by listening to the tone of the user’s voice.
