Autoneum opens first of four new Chinese plants in Yantai

Autoneum is expanding its production capacities in China with the opening of four new plants.

The company says it is experiencing high-volume orders from European, US-American and Chinese customers, making it necessary to boost capacities in China, the world’s largest automotive market.

At the new plant in the eastern city of Yantai, Shandong Province, series and just-in-time production of inner dashes and carpet systems has already started.

Around 250,000 vehicles of Chinese vehicle manufacturers will be supplied with components from Yantai each year.
