Microbiome-friendly certified tampon made from seaweed
German biomaterials start-up Vyld has launched what is claimed to be the world’s first microbiome-friendly certified tampon made from kelp.
The Kelpon has been certified by MyMicrobiome, a certification body for microbiome-friendly products, according to the vaginal microbiome standard 41.10 for textiles and is described as extra smooth, biodegradable and ocean-friendly.
