Antimicrobial burns dressing chosen for US contracts
Argentum Medical, a manufacturer of silver-plated antimicrobial dressings based in Geneva, Illinois, USA, has been awarded five-year contracts in the US health and defence markets.
The US Department of Health and Human Services awarded the company an US$18m contract for its Silverlon burns dressings for potential use on patients affected by mass casualty incidents, including trauma, burns or sulphur mustard exposure.
