The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand has launched a “number 5” power-saving label to be given to textile and clothing producers that match specific power-saving criteria.

This is part of the demand-side management project initiated in Thailand in 1993 to save energy and make consumption more efficient.

Clothing awarded the DSM number 5 label could include shirts or dresses that need no ironing or dry quickly and easily after washing.
