Singapore group to invest US$200m in fibre innovation and technology

Resource-based manufacturing group Royal Golden Eagle has announced plans to invest US$200m over the next 10 years into cellulosic textile fibre research and development.

The investment, revealed ahead of October's Textile Sustainability Conference in Vancouver, Canada, will support research into alternative cellulose or plant-based feedstock and closed-loop manufacturing.
