‘Clever’ carpet from Serbia produces electricity

Two students of electronic and telecommunication engineering at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia, have invented a “smart carpet” that transforms mechanical energy into electrical energy when a person walks on the floorcovering.
